DESIGN NAME: Rewag
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Headoffice Building
INSPIRATION: The building design was influenced in part by the loosely triangular-shaped site and taking the existing neighbouring buildings into account. The main inspiration was derived from the future building occupants, a municipal energy company; the flowing, interconnected shape represents modern work processes, and the symmetrical horizontal bands enveloping the facade symbolize energy currents in constant flux.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This administrative office was created as a modern, technically advanced building that integrates harmoniously with the surrounding structures. Interlinking building cores and company departments in a flowing, responsive shape that radiates calm and unity, through the use of precision and consistency, implementing fewer but more essential design elements. Regionally sourced limestone and traditional stonemasonry methods used in the facade visibly contribute to sustainability and local identity.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design and construction lasted from 2017 until completion in 2021.
