| DESIGN NAME: Home Playground PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence INSPIRATION: Home is not only a place to rest, but also a memory box containing memories and emotions of interaction among people. Due to the increase in family members, the original one-storey house is extended to two storey, adding a study room and entertainment space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The designer expects to create a convenient and fun residence from the resident's perspective and create an interactive space for family members. Considering both functionality and aesthetics, a large area of windows is installed, which brings the outdoor scenery in, and maintains sufficient daylight and ventilation. In addition, a lot of storage and multifunctional space is planned. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A storage space with sufficient cabinets are planned, allowing the proprietor collecting more memories of family and children showing their toys. The sun shines on the transparent partition and enriches the layers of the space with the change of light and shadow. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Stepping into the space, the vibrant mountain view comes to your eyes. In order to creating a space where the residents can enjoy the nature, large French windows are installed in the first and the second floor, which brings the beautiful scenery indoor, and introduces abundant natural light to maintain the brightness and ventilation of the space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The property is 198 square meters. TAGS: Residence, Interior Design, Multifunctional Space, Remodel, Taiwan RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The leisure area, study room and snack bar are on the second floor, where the whole family can share warm and cozy moment in the multifunctional space. Glass sliding doors are installed in the study room and other areas to make the use of the space more flexible. In addition, a fancy swing is installed to make the space full of fun and fit for the whole family. Through design, the parents and children connect closely and create beautiful memory at home together. CHALLENGE: White and wooden colors and textures are adopted as foundation, embellishing with furniture of contrasting colors, providing children a colorful space for imagination.
