| DESIGN NAME: Tea for the Temple of Heaven PRIMARY FUNCTION: Packaging INSPIRATION: In ancient China, it was thought that the sky was round and the ground was square, so the box for commemorating tea was designed to be round. The pattern of the box cover is the dome of the Hall of Prayer for the Year. Because when I walked inside the Hall of Prayer for the Year and looked up, I saw that the dome of the Hall of Prayer for the Year had special charm. So I used the dome of the Hall of Prayer for the Year as the main pattern and put it in the center of the box cover. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Packaging design is round. In ancient China, it was thought that the sky was round. The pattern of the box cover is the dome of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Inside the box are Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and logo. The surrounding is a symbol of peace and good fortune. Put tea cakes in the middle. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Paper, cardboard, tea SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 300mm x 300mm x 55mm TAGS: Temple of Heaven, Tea packaging, 600th, Pu'er tea, Pu'er tea packaging RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The biggest challenge is how to make people realize the beauty of Chinese traditional culture. The most difficult part is how to combine the ancient traditional custom of worshipping heaven and God with product design, and how to make the product conform to modern international aesthetics while retaining the ancient Chinese traditional elements. CHALLENGE: In my design process, the dome pattern on the lid of the box is a challenge in design, including some pattern selection and color matching of the building structure. My difficulty in printing makes this project very challenging. Four special printing processes are used for the pattern on the box cover, and there must be no slightest mistake in these four special printing processes. Making printing extremely challenging. Color calibration and process matching can make this product very delicate. The paper with special texture also makes workers wear gloves to avoid fingerprints when making boxes.
