| DESIGN NAME: QuaD PRIMARY FUNCTION: Private Garden INSPIRATION: The architecture of the building itself, with its straight lines, wooden beams and panoramic windows, was the inspiration. The building itself told me in which direction to move, which lines and where to use, and determined the color palette in the landscape. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The garden is designed according to the grid method and is divided into squares and rectangles. The garden was filled with hedges and cut cubes, cereals, yellow and orange mixborders, which give volume, soften the pressure of straight lines and combine with the wooden elements of the building in color. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The garden is an integral part of the living space. Therefore, it is so important that it is ideal for the owners to relax, so that it brings pleasure from contemplation and peace at any time of the year. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2020 in Moscow region and finished in January 2021. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The garden was inspired by the architecture of the building. The modern spa house is decorated with light and dark granite, which is also used for paving in the garden. Through the panoramic windows, you can see a large swimming pool, which continues in the form of a multi-level reservoir, opening to the recreation area in the garden. In the garden, too, vertical aluminum poles are used, which echo the elements of the house. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1600 m2 area in Moscow region. TAGS: private garden, Moscow, modern, landscape RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The main task for me was to connect the building on the site with the surrounding landscape as much as possible. Create a design that is in harmony with the house, so that they are one and complement each other. CHALLENGE: The main test for me was the long coordination of the project with the customer. It was necessary to convey to the customer why the design of his garden should be exactly like this. The problem is that landscape design in Russia is just beginning to develop and the Russian people are quite conservative and wary of perceiving something new in landscape design.
