| DESIGN NAME: House of Faith PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Space INSPIRATION: Faith is an element that is deeply tied in with lives. In this project, the words of faith are written on the most obvious spot in the house, which is most intimate space one could have, to support one through life. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A black-and-white modern space comes into view when entering the room. The grey stone wall and the dark-toned system cabinets creates a sense of Nordic vastness. The written words and the cross on the wall represent a beautiful marriage between secular and divinity, in which both sides can coexist in harmony in this home of man. The silver leather furniture and round wooden table lead the guests into owners sci-fi fantasy with the ever-changing city view opening in front of the residents. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The view changes when walking into the dining room on the left. The warm tone coming from all the wooden furniture brings a picnic in field to the space, as if you can feel the summer breeze brushing against your face. Two different styles are applied in the house, yet they gradually merging into one. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in July 2017 in Taoyuan, Taiwan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main cement wall connects the two areas and unites while creating a visual extension. The lines on the wall characterize the space and add in a sense of design. The master bedroom is relatively simple in both design and color. The room is dominated by white, and red wall lamps are also added as a warm touch to help relax and rest. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project is 107.4 square meter. TAGS: Residential, House, Interior Design, Space, Home RESEARCH ABSTRACT: From the cross and the inscription, the warm dining room, to the light relaxing room, the combination between lives and faith brings peace, safety, and tranquility. No matter which road you take, home is always the end of every journey. With the cross hanging on the wall, the faith in our hearts shall overlook us. CHALLENGE: A darker and cooler color palette is adopted in the living room, with black-painted wooden cabinet, a matte grey wall with a sheen and table and sofa with metal accents. The dining room is much warmer due to the wooden texture added in. Yet it doesn’t seem disjointed because of the grey. NAME: Bezalel Interior Design PROFILE: Bezalel is listed as a craftsman in the Bible called by God to devote himself to the work of the temple. Po-Kai Yang uses this as the company name, emphasizing the connection between people, hoping to show the value of design through the connection with customers and peers. In the early days of the company's inception, it was not easy and smooth, so there were attempts to expand in different directions and cooperate. Long-term cooperation with a Japanese sound-absorbing board company, designing such as YouTuber studio, studio, recording studio, etc., has a new direction. At present, the design scope of Bezalel, except for the exhibition, covers all interior spaces, integrating the emotional connection between people into the design. People and space complement each other and grow together. |
