DESIGN NAME: Whim
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dining Chair
INSPIRATION: This design began by adding fun and elegance to the wooden furniture we use every day.
This chair has a very simple structure.
The expression of the chair changes just by adding human hands to the simple chair.
The motif is nature and straight.
Artificial objects are made based on straight lines. But straight lines are not often created in nature.
I believe that a design that mixes curves and straight lines can present new values to people living in the present.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A little inspiration in everyday life.
This gives a small awareness to everyday life.

You will come into contact with new ideas in the moments of everyday life.
It will help your creative.
Although it is as easy to use as a general dining chair
You can enjoy it by "seeing" and "touching".
In addition, the wide seating surface and back plate make it easy for any person to sit for a long time.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The comfortable seating enables long-term communication with the family.
The large bearing surface of the cushioning properties, can also be to sit cross-legged on a chair.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I made this by use of my previous experience in video editing job.
Video editing is the job of controlling human emotions.
For example, there is a video showing a man.
After that, put in the video of the accident, and finally put in the video of the man laughing.
The audience will think the man is a cruel man.
Now, let's put in a video of a man who is sad after the accident.
The audience will think the man is a conscientious man.
The theme is to express the control of emotions with trees.
Curves for soft, straight lines for honesty,
By mixing them, I expressed complex emotions and shapes.
CHALLENGE: It was difficult to find a value that was easy to sit for a long time based on ergonomics.
It was a tremendous amount of effort to manually reproduce the design that you wouldn't get tired of from any angle and the comfortable feel when you actually touched it.
