| DESIGN NAME: Kish Polar pool PRIMARY FUNCTION: Indoor swimming pool INSPIRATION: The interior them of this pool is inspired by icy water pond in north pole also the designer tried to design the lightening like polar starry nights. for the purpose of transmit the sense of icy water pond with water sound Amin model a system to stream water on all interior walls just like water falls which make consumers feel real natural pool. the dwelling-places and edges of pool are somehow dumpy and white just like snow covering the floor. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: the contrast between the tropical location of the hotel and the unique them of the pool which transmit the sense of swimming in north pole ponds is fascinating, Other attractions are the walls around the pool, which are all designed like waterfalls by make special system which can stream water from top to floor also the designer model some exclusive component that hangs from the middle of ceiling which has water spraying system on it and decorate with pearly lightening point. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Interior construction of this project started on October 6, 2020 and ended on November 20, 2020 and is currently underway and will be completed by February 30, 2021. This project will be completed at Xcelsior grand resort hotel in Iran on Kish Island. It is under construction FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: in consider of many soft arches and forms the designer used, a decision is taken to used small size ceramics tiles that can be easily placed on the forms and because of waterfalls all around on the walls, the same size of the tiles that used for the floor can be used for wall which its makes our design more brilliant. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The pool complex is about 1000 square meters, the depth of the pool is 140 cm and the length is 14 meters by 8 meters, and it also has a children's pool, Jacuzzi, saunas, massage, coffee shop and gym. TAGS: Polar pool,Kish,Polar RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Looking at the photos and videos taken from the North Pole in National geographic makes everyone fascinate by north pole beauty. so Amin decided to replace some of these attraction with an architectural look in our project, as well as snow and stars. It is also the builder and owner of Excelsior hotels in Iran and is currently in the final stages of building a hotel on Kish Island with an infrastructure of over 50,000 square meters, including special suites, entertainment and sports complexes, as well as a concert hall. It should be mentioned that at the end of 2021, two new projects on Kish Island, including residential towers and an international sports complex, are on the agenda for holding competitions. |
