| DESIGN NAME: Sidiffer PRIMARY FUNCTION: Educational Learning Toy INSPIRATION: According to the 10th issue of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the SDGs: reduce inequality within and among countries, the larger issue in society is racial inequality. Studies have shown that the attitudes of preschool children towards race will indirectly affect children due to family education and growth environment. Racial discrimination may occur unconsciously. How to establish the concept of respect, tolerance and equality is an important issue for young generation. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Multi ethnic cognition for preschool children is the core concept, consist of stackable character parts and illustrated storybooks, free to play and to create multi combination of characters so are taught to understand the diversity of world multi racial, skin colors and people appearances, established positive attitude towards diversified society and respect in tolerance and equality. Toys are made of colorful silicone and natural wood, rich in tactile and visual sensation. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This is a human based educational toy. Through observation and assembling methods, from understanding the world's races and skin colors to showing the diverse appearances of races, and with the guidance and correspondence of story books and picture cards, children can be integrated into the situation to play; Through two senses learning-vision and touch, children can feel the characteristics of race, and then understand the diversity of the world, strengthen the understanding of race, respect, tolerance, and equality. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in July 2020 and was completed in Tainan, Taiwan in Febuary2021.
