| DESIGN NAME: Sunshine Shore PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office space INSPIRATION: The interior uses glass partitions to make the entire space more transparent and bright, and at the same time, the lighting and ventilation are greatly enhanced. The whole design is simple and clean, stretched the visual layer high, the light can be scattered evenly, and the light is used in layers to make the space atmosphere more stylish and warmer. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is located on the top floor of the West Bank of Merrill Lynch in Dalian, China, within the golden coastline. It is committed to creating an open shared space integrating communication, learning and reading. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This target is a planning and tutoring room, students and teachers could complete daily classes in this bright and transparent room, they could read, chat and relax in the bar during extracurricular time. Dorms could be used for seminars during holidays, and offer extra free time for students to complete assignments. Multi-function room could be used for accomplishment exhibition, salon, lectures and other activities. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2016 in Dalian,China, within the golden coastline,and finished in October 2017. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: FRP structure Reinforced concrete SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Building area 500 square metre TAGS: Sunshine Shore, High perspective, see the sea, Office space, Bright RESEARCH ABSTRACT: the design goal is to create more comfortable studying and living space for students,so the designer has interviewed 50 design majored students and teachers,consulted and recorded what kind of environment would they prefer for tutoring and what kind of facilities should be equipped. After data comparison decided the current function room.The result is that this comparable traditional tutoring room is able to better satisfy what students and teachers are chasing for studying and living,so that they could enjoy studying and teaching more. CHALLENGE: During the designing process for multi-function room, in order to cope with the requirements for all types of exhibition and salon lectures, as well as the innovative showing boards and shelves, the designers have discussed different kinds of solutions and in the end decided to use sliding rails connecting with showing boards and the combination of showing shelves and boards, have created various collaboration to satisfy different kinds of function.
