DESIGN NAME: Bizarre Dream

INSPIRATION: The project’s concept is about dreams.After the concept was developed,I added 2 inspirations.
The first inspiration is Frozen in Time.Inspired by Florence and its iconic artworks and classic architecture.The brand was founded in Florence so there is a strong bond between them.
The second inspiration is Alternate Universe.In these months our world changed.People spend more time alone or with small number of individuals.When you are alone,you have time to fantasies about new universes.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project assigned was designing a retail store in Milano.The location of the store is the historic Brera neighborhood.
The main idea for the space was to create a special experience that is beyond the normal borders of the mind.The materials chosen give the sense of leaping between the clouds.
In the redesign it was chosen to add VIP rooms,interactive screen and a GG Monogramed Wall,embrossed on a custom-made steel panel,the redesigned logo backlit by LED lights.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: -
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2020, as an assignment for the third and final year of interior design, in Istituto Marangoni Milano. The project was finalized in January 2021, after paying much attention to the technical and inspirational details. The retail project was an individual assigment, that had to have innovative and irregular aspects.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Initially to start the design process, sketches are helpful to visualize the space and the new ideas that come to mind.After the first stages of the design are thought of on paper,the second stage begins with planning the AutoCAD 2D drawings.As all creative processes,this process of drawing the plans and sections,constantly change.Later on, in the final stage,the visualization begins in 3ds MAX.Photorealistic renders help visualize the space in the clearest way.
