| DESIGN NAME: Aloft PRIMARY FUNCTION: Demonstration unit INSPIRATION: Size of the space is around 3.5m width, 6.8m length, 5m height. Designer proposed a mezzanine floor with 1 double height ceiling living room, 1 bathroom, open kitchen and bedroom. The space is well planned to fit all requirment. Designer would like to propose an apartment to show the character of the owner - a photographer lady. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is a demonstration unit for the property. Designer proposed the theme for a single lady in order to match the target customer group proposed form the client. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This is a demonstration unit for developer in Kunming, China. The box size is around 3.5m width, 6.8m length, 5m height. Desiger proposed an nice living environment for a single lady. The space well fit all living requirement, such as double height living room, dinning area, open kithen, bathroom, open bedroom with big closet. It is exactly the dream flat for all single lady. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Wall paper, timber flooring, mirror, tiles, and leather panel are main materials applised in the space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is around 3.5m width, 6.8m length, 5m height. TAGS: #loft, #interiordesign, #forte, #showflat, #hotkoncepts, #martinchow, #demonstrationunit RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As it is a demonstration unit, therefore the designer needed to realize the local market and type of customers in Kun Ming, China. Of course the designer was required to work closely with the marketing team of the client, so that we came up some optional interior styles for the client's approval. Finally, the theme of a single lady was proposed. It match marketing requirment. CHALLENGE: The challange of this flat must be the limited construction budget. As the interior design will also be applied to the handover standard to all flats of that #1 building. Designer spend much time to go through all materials with different apartments form the client, in order to achieve the overall very limited construction budget. Of course the designer also need to make sure the overall interior design effect.
