DESIGN NAME: Fukui Meisai
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Surface pattern design
INSPIRATION: I was good at making camouflage patterns.
Wouldn't it be interesting to make a camouflage pattern in the shape of a region? I thought, and posted it on SNS.
A person from Fukui who saw it asked me to design it, and it took shape.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: We disassembled the cities and towns of Fukui prefecture in Japan and designed them in a camouflage pattern.
"The shape of 17 cities and towns in Fukui Prefecture" was created by removing people, land, culture, values, and various boundaries to create a completely different overlap, as if it were a "camouflage" that blurs the boundaries and melts the outside and the inside. It is a local brand with a combined camouflage pattern design.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is a seamless pattern that can be connected infinitely, and the data can be scaled freely. You can easily change the color, and by linking with various services, you can use it not only for cloth, goods, masks, but also for the background of zoom. We would like to connect the expandability and the fun of the shape to the local contribution.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was launched in May 2020.
It will be on sale from July 2020.
Exhibited at many events in Fukui.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Pattern The pattern was created using Adobe illustrator.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We analyzed the area of Fukui prefecture, took shape, and once separated it and developed it into a camouflage pattern. I hope that people living in the area will understand the shape and find it interesting.
I hope other people will enjoy it as a camouflage pattern.
In addition, the color scheme and placement balance have been adjusted so that it is easily accepted as a bright image while being camouflage.
CHALLENGE: Where to connect while understanding the shape of each region
And it's about to balance.
How to make a project that can contribute to the community.
