RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design process including data gathering was based on IDEO Design Process and Social Innovation toolkit. Secondary research, specialist interview and Questionnaires were the most important research tools.
According to Jean Piaget, "play provides the child with the live, dynamic, individual language indispensable for the expression of (the child’s) subjective feelings for which collective language alone is inadequate." Play helps a child develop mastery over his innate abilities resulting to a sense of worth and aptitude. According to research, storytelling and using toys is the best way to deal with difficult topics. Helping put together what is there now, and what it should be, or what they would like it to be.
CHALLENGE: The most challenging issue was simplifying the process in order to get parents and children communicate during difficult times. Finding an appropriate mean to simplify unpleasant data for children and making a good final expression so that they can deal with their emotions in a proper way was the hardest part of this project.
