PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Sustainable Faceshields

INSPIRATION:
Seeing the need in the country and in the world to produce more quickly, at a low cost, with high quality and doing so sustainably. we decided to act to be able to give the doctors the necessary equipment and with our work and the monetary aid and the help of the grupo Orve foundation of the people, we were able to give thousands of masks to doctors at no cost and to other people who had to work outside their homes and with high risk of contagion at a low cost.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
In Mexico, makers designed and produced medical masks and equipment with rapid prototyping technologies and it was really inefficient, so we redesigned it to adapt it to more industrialized production methods and created an alliance with the TBP company, achieving a production capacity of up to 5,000 pieces. daily, generating around 100 jobs and giving a longer life time to the product and manufactured from recycled and recyclable materials, making it a sustainable product.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
Project started in March 2020 in Mexico until now and we have give more than 50,000 faceshields to doctors and people at high risk of contagion.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
We redesigned and adapted the masks to be able to produce them on a large scale, low cost and sustainably in conjunction with TBP. The quality of the masks that were manufactured when the pandemic began in Mexico was and is very poor, so the life time of a mask of the same cost as those we made is 1 to 2 days in heavy use and 1 week for regular use. We achieve a product lifetime of 3 to 4 weeks in heavy use and 6 to 8 weeks of normal use and using recycled polypropylene and pet, with brass. Making our product a much greener alternative, in addition to having created more than 100 jobs and giving greater protection to doctors and people at high risk of contagion.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
24cm x 24cm x 17cm , Cal. 30 PET, Lightweight, recycled and recyclable materials, production of up to 5 thousand pieces daily.
