| DESIGN NAME: Light and Shadow PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential INSPIRATION: The design team sorted out a suitable living area according to the needs of each member of the family. This design integrates a variety of key elements, using light, metal, and marble as a media to bring together the contemporary design vocabulary to make a more appropriate function for the users which consists of a family of four. At the same time, the design creates a luxurious atmosphere and brings comfort and elegance living space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With careful consideration of clients living desire, the design team uses a low-key luxury style as a concept, the aesthetic of the space is so balanced that creates a beautiful environment just like a boutique hotel. Particularly, the design team is good at implementing different material characteristics to create a gorgeous atmosphere, matched with the existence of the light and shadows when the sun shines, it also creates a beautiful texture, enriching the appearance of the house. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design teams inspiration is to make the corridor of this house is displayed with a visual extension effect. The light guides and enriches the three-dimensional beauty of the space and also displays the uniqueness of it. In addition, the curved metal louvers are hand-roasted and molded by hand to complete this unique entrance decoration in a completely pure manual way. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Bronze titanium plate, Laser-cut stainless steel plate, Stainless steel, Marble, Wood veneer, Digital inkjet brick, System cabinet. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The total number of the designed area is about 165.28 square meters, and the layout includes four rooms and two halls. TAGS: Low-key luxury, Luxurious light, Modern, Wooden elements, Iron design, Interior design, Home sace, Space design, Taiwan, Design brand RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The whole space consists of brown coffee colors, and the design team uses the natural texture of the materials and combines those different materials to enrich the space in order to present a low-key luxurious home space. A lot of metal elements are used to embellish and highlight the unique style of the taste of the client. The metal parts at the entrance show the beautiful curved design by the professional technicians throughout the pulling, pressing, ramming techniques and the multi-level light that refracted by the laser cutting plate brings a visual sense of science and technology. CHALLENGE: In order to create a space like a boutique hotel, the overall space runs through with marble texture and line elements. The ceiling design, lighting, and metal parts of the entrance are used to make the most exquisite and comfortable space. However, the curved metal louver is one of the most challenging connections of the construction process of this project. How to deal with the technology of pulling, pressing, and ramming through manual operation to show the unique characteristics of rigidity and softness, requires intense communication between the design team and craftsmanship.
