| DESIGN NAME: Aggregation PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Ralph Waldo Emerson – iconic figure of American culture and spirt once said: Family is the kingdom of the father, the mother's world, and children's paradise. The conceptual interpretation of “family” is stored and connecting the family through all levels of experience in life, which can be quite, contented and long-lasting with reflection between virtual and reality. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In contrast to the explicit design of style, the designer decided to design the case as a unit “company children to grow and share emotions” so that family becomes the carrier companying growth, re-composing the scale of creativity. The owner and his wife wish for the older brother and pre-school sister to study and company each other before they reach the aging of attending universities thorough the integration of design. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The semi-tall and visually see-through dual function TV wall is designed as the medium between the living room and dining room, shaping the neat and seamless movement and spatial relation. The see-through axial relation connects the living room and dining room, followed by a twist into the kitchen and kitchen island for a broad and yet distinct arrangement. The hallway heading to the bedrooms adopts syntax elements with aesthetic value to build the “art hallway” as connection between the public and private space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Apart from emphasizing interaction in life, the design also pays attention to the reading atmosphere. The designer designs the public reading area for the family of four, using the concept extended from - home is library. The designed also adopts the soundproof glass and customized desk to extend the vision and function to the working area of the house owner. The moving sliding door also serves as the glass-based whiteboard function for the younger sister to draw regularly and for tutoring at home.
