| DESIGN NAME: A Mask and a Smile PRIMARY FUNCTION: Video for awareness INSPIRATION: The whole world is scared because of the coronavirus. And with countless news - and many of them are fake - about how to act against the virus, the goal of this video is (as a visual information) to make people aware that wearing a mask can help save lives. Without talking directly about the virus, the video plays that life goes on and smiling is a way to move forward and consciously to fight against coronavirus with things we have easily available. It raises awareness without raising fear. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design is showing the use of protection for the well-being of people. The video shows three parts: the first stating that a mask can save lives. The second part is stating that all people should use it and still get on with life, as it says 'keep smiling'. The third part is acknowledging that everybody should stay safe. The footage linked with the upbeat sound creates an atmosphere of expectance and hope for better days. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: You may use a mask and still get on with life, because it will protect you against the coronavirus. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was made in Brazil thinking specifically for the A Design Award & Competition. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Movie, Video and Animation Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: It's a video, using footage and soundtrack form Envato Elements. The footage was selected taking in account the subject and the idea to be shown. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: video and sound - 1080 x 1920p TAGS: mask, protection, coronavirus, smile, awareness RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The idea of the mask saving lives and as well as the idea of people continue smiling with it. CHALLENGE: The hardest part was to find footage, as I'm not a cameraman I used footage from Envato Elements to exhibit the idea I wanted to promote.
