| DESIGN NAME: Wild cook PRIMARY FUNCTION: Smoke Distributor INSPIRATION: One of the most important issues in designing a product’s accessory is to make the product adaptable for different environments and make the design’s functionality better. Wild Cook is a food smoking device that could be used in order to smoke food and drink. Wild Cook smoke distributor was designed especially for bars and nightclubs. Bartenders can easily install the Wild Cook on top of it so there will be no problems with battery charge and also they will be able to make several smoked drinks at the same time. Customers can enjoy the bartenders’ show of making cocktails while watching smoke going through the glasses. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Wild Cook smoke distributor is a device that can be used to smoke several drinks at the same time. The presented design is suitable to be used in bars, night clubs and even in home kitchens. One can install the Wild Cook device on the smoke distributor and it will be connected to the whole device, the presented design has a capacitive touch switch in front of each placement that it could be turned on and off. When it is turned on, the Wild Cook starts making smoke and the smoke distributor will lead the smoke to the intended placement. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: By installing the Wild Cook device on Wild Cook smoke distributor, the whole device is united and everything can be controlled directly from the distributor's panel. by just touching the capacitive touch switch, one may choose the placement that is intended. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2019 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The material used for the outlook of the presented design is steel. It is designed in a mode to be adaptable with any decoration style. In order to make it easy to use in any position, the charger outlet is placed underneath the device in the middle. The Wild Cook smoke distributor has several microelectronic valves in order to lead the smoke to the intended placement, each placement has a capacitive touch switch. The designers’ intention was to design a product that not only makes the process easier and cleaner but also retains the entertaining show of making a smoked drink. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The designs dimensions: 585 mm W x 180 mm D x 37 mm H TAGS: Drinks, Smoke Distributor, Smoking device, Smoked drink, Smoke flavor, Smoke scent, Beverage, Smoke, Wild cook, Bars RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The designers had to do researches about how they can add value to an existing design and make its functionality better in different situations. The designers also did researches on how bartenders usually communicate with costumers and the entertaining parts that are important. CHALLENGE: The main challenge was to design an accessory that has several benefits like keeping Wild Cook device ready to use also being able to use it when multiple drinks need to be ready and not have to be worried about the battery charge. One of the most important challenges was the device's outlet placement. Considering the length of the device and also the fact that in different places might have limitations for finding the best place to put it so the designers placed the outlet underneath the device in the middle so one can use it in any direction.
