| DESIGN NAME: Move PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interactive freestanding wall INSPIRATION: Move plays a key role in the current demands of the workplace. The incursion of the new open office concept and shared workspaces is the basis of our Move freestanding partition's design inspiration. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Move is a large dimension movable room divider. Its main feature is that it is fully configurable depending on the particular and specific needs of every client. Move is an innovative freestanding partition; its multipurpose functionality, wide variety of compositions, colours, finishing and shapes make it different from the usual space separator. Moreover, Move is designed to link multiple freestanding partitions with ease, according to the needs at any given time. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Move interactive wall can easily be operated and transformed. It can be stored in a specific area and then be moved around to the required position, engaged simply with a build in wheel system. Move modules are able to link up with each other in multiple joining ways, from 90 and 180 degrees two way connection to three way connections. A trolley is integrally designed to complement the Move's overall styling package which makes the modules' motion and connection very simple, so skilled personnel is not required. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Move's design began towards the end of the year 2019. For its official launching into the market we have chosen the Orgatec International Fair 2020 edition, exhibited in Cologne, Germany. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Move uses the same profiles, anchoring system and finishing of our Flat Set partition walls. The variance is its mobility and freestanding capacity. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Move standard dimensions are 2500 x 2500 x 70 mm, and can be customized to meet the specific space preferences. TAGS: Freestanding partition, office partition, movable partition wall, space separator, movable room divider, interactive wall RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In our company, Flat by Artis, we always follow the same methodology; we analyse the current and future market workplace demands, which includes mobility, corporate identity and a high level of interactivity with the working environment. CHALLENGE: The most complicated part of any of our designs is always the same: we must be capable to make the dream come true. The creative challenge to represent this reality is the current phase of preproduction in which we are now; to examine the performance of the materials by moving from a fixed environment (partition walls) to a movable and freestanding one.
