Interview with Haofeng Ma at Wednesday 29th of April 2020 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? HM: Customers' needs are inspired by paintings. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? HM: The experience of the residents. Create a warm, quiet private space. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? HM: Get back to work and redesign. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? HM: Seven days. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? HM: This design commissioned. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? HM: Customer needs and my inspiration. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? HM: Color and creativity. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? HM: I use a combination of place names and colors. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? HM: CAD,3D MAX,PS. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? HM: The use of color and the use of space. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? HM: with might doubled. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? HM: How to use new materials and budgets. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? HM: I think it's a very special design, and it's been implemented. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? HM: Bold use of new materials, of course, this also exists a certain degree of risk.
