Interview with John Dockins at Saturday 23rd of February 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? JD: A 1950s-1960s inspired logo that incorporates era specific design fitting for a custom car motor garage business. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? JD: This design was strictly for inspiration and personal choice. It was not commissioned. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? JD: Design is not currently in use and would be for sale. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? JD: Personal challenge to push creative boundaries. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? JD: No FS: Who is the target customer for his design? JD: Custom car engine or "hot rod" garage business. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? JD: Pencil and paper for early sketches while Adobe Illustrator was used for the final product.
