Interview with Cristian Sporzon at Wednesday 17th of April 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? CS: Arco has a dream behind, the idea of infinity you reach when you sleeping. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? CS: The main focus that I wanted to achieve designing Arco was related to my idea of infinity. I wanted to describe the sensations of a dream its infinity. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? CS: I would like to have contact with some furniture design company, in order to produce my pieces. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? CS: It was an ispiration, I started designing Arco from an idea, it took me for some days, this design was a consequence of a thought. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? CS: I designed this concept in 2011, it was for a contest. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? CS: The target of this design is a person who recognize the original idea and destinated to people who can feel the vibration of its curves FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? CS: Arco comes from thinking about all the words that reminds me the action of sleeping and dreaming, the particular design is a consequence of that. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? CS: I designed Arco using software like sketchup and 3ds max and autocad FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? CS: Arco has an original new design, you can't find something like this FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? CS: I collaborate with a company in order to realize the concept, they have the right technology to reach the perfect result. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? CS: The role of technology was very important because it allows me to think about a unique piece. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? CS: I was not influenced by any data or analytical research. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? CS: I decided to sent my design because I deeply believe in my design, it's a passion.
