Interview with Thomas Tsai at Friday 5th of April 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? TT: I want to give the visual excitement in at the dining room , with the effect backdrop and specially-design zig zag book shelf will become the main focus of this space FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? TT: To be able to create better access of the space. I was trying to achieve the simple and yet elegant design in each of my works FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? TT: I will keep exposing my future award winning design to the world FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? TT: 3 months , after long discuss with client and talk about they really need and what they really don't . FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? TT: After the long discussion with client, all we want is to give the relaxed space for him . FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? TT: no ,its purely comstomized FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? TT: "Magnificent life "is the what the client pursues . FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? TT: we used CAD and 3D modelling to create this design FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? TT: my colleague who's the assistant design of this project. she's doing the CAD drawings and 3D modelling, and I discussed with clients and made decisions. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? TT: I want to see if my design work is good enough to compete in the international design contest FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? TT: yes , I learned from the client, she gave me different design ideas that I might spend time looking into it FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? TT: no
