Interview with Agnieszka Hubeny-Zukowska at Tuesday 5th of March 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? AH: Connecting the residential interior with the building's surroundings was the main challenge of the project. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? AH: It was important for me to combine the interior design with the nature of the surroundings. I wanted to achieve the effect of a changing image that will be attractive throughout the season. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? AH: My goal is to propagate gardens and show how important is the green surroundings of architecture and how much architecture can gain thanks to plants FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? AH: Studying the climatic conditions and observing the nature surrounding the building was the starting point of the project and it took me a whole year FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? AH: my design idea introduced changes in architecture. In the wall of the building, instead of three small windows, a huge glass window was created FS: Who is the target customer for his design? AH: The recipients are all residents of the building FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? AH: It's easy. Sitting inside the dining room, we feel like we are in the garden. Sitting on the terrace outside, we feel the connection with the building. Inside Outside FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? AH: The main research was careful study of nature FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? AH: The project required structural changes to the building in order to introduce a large glass display. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? AH: I've learned the scrupulous observation of nature.
