Interview with Helen Koss at Friday 30th of March 2018 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? HK: The inspiration was the country and the people, their desire to be up to date while to maintaining fun and playful feeling. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? HK: Maintaining the right amount of working and lounge areas FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? HK: To carry out the knowledge I have accumulated during this process in to my future projects for the benefit of my future and existing clients. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? HK: Approximately 6 months FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? HK: It was a collaborative work which involved members of teams and management, we understood the needs and created a concept that suit all the parties. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? HK: the design is protected by copyrights FS: Who is the target customer for his design? HK: companies striving to create a cultural change, to move to agile technologies and so on. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? HK: that it was data driven and after case study I can say that the concept and work flow works for the benefit of the client FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? HK: interviews, behavior analysis FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? HK: the fact that the employees were on site working, so we had to create safe construction area and to maintain noise levels and dust to the minimum during the office working hours. majority of the work was done during the weekends and nights FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? HK: I have learned that in order to create a good design , the designer first has to put his desires a side. He has to fully live and understand the needs of the client and only then to create his masterpiece.
