FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
VD: My main inspiration are young people, the city life and movement throuht the city. I like how many people use bikes and skates. It is very ecologic and health. But for these activities they need special clothes for fast movement without barriers. That isnpired me to make the Backpackjack - backpack togethret with jacket.
FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
VD: I would like to collaborate with some company to get this product mass.
FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
VD: I have worked on it since october 2016 and I have finished it in February 2017. It was quite long period, but I think it worth it.
FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
VD: production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? I would like to collaborate with some company to get this product mass or sell the poruction rights.
FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
VD: No, it was only my initiative.
FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
VD: It is young man or woman, who like to enyoj his/her life. It for travelers who need to move without a lot of things and discover the unexpectation journey.
FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
VD: Transformation means movement a dynamics transported into garment. Backpakjack is shorter - backpack with jacket.
FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
VD: I have worked on my own, but now, I would like to collaborate in this way.
FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
VD: Find the right technology.
FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
VD: I thought it is the great idea to make garment like this, so I wanted to share it with the whole world. And it went ou right.
