Interview with Yu-Wen Chiu (Vita) at Friday 17th of March 2017

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
YC: Our living room emulates the perfect pressure-reducing atmosphere and redefines the values and scope of building materials. Exquisite, warm-colored wooden ceilings are used as the main body and combined with custom-made pendant lamps that symbolize the reunion of various elements. Together with the view of the city landscape from the large windows, our room induces a natural chain reaction that produces a free spatial arrangement that is independent yet complementary.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
YC: The theme of a natural, pressure-reducing atmosphere continues in the bathroom. Special outdoor building materials are used here to produce contrasting beauty in a space of complete relaxation. In our shoe shelves, a unique spatial design is used to demonstrate a classic and fashionable taste. In a space that combines functionality with fashion, the simplicity of glass and iron materials are used to dispel unnecessary interferences and shift the focus back to the users themselves. Let us seize the opportunity to explore our future lifestyle and rekindle our long-lost passion.
