Interview with Baohua Xie at Wednesday 15th of February 2017 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? BX: TF boys is a popular Idol combination, makes up by three young boys , full-known as the THE FIGHTING BOYS. T, F, B constitute a solid Triangle, give strength, growth and guard. This logo was done in one stroke. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? BX: Like the fashion sense of this project, I hope more people like this design, and to get more communication. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? BX: This encouraged me a lot. I will continue to work hard to influence more people. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? BX: It took four months. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? BX: The inspiration is from the video of idol group "TFBoys". FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? BX: Copyright are retained by Time Fengjun Entertainment and their relevant products sell well. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? BX: Appeared on major occasions and are playlisted by television. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? BX: Based on 15 years of experience in this industry. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? BX: Our main targets most are university students and office ladies, and also people of all ages know about the group. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? BX: The Letter T connects with reverse side of Letter F perfectly, and it can be written with Just one stroke. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? BX: Time Fengjun Entertainment give the name and in chinese it means the fighting boy. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? BX: The image using Adobe Illustrator software. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? BX: Succinct and cultured. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? BX: I was responsible for graphic design ideas and other team members assisted me. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? BX: No technology. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? BX: The hits of new conference are more than 200 million. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? BX: This project commands the attention of China and it have to meet a lot of people's requirements. We communicated the ideas back and forth. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? BX: For designers, A' Design Award and Competition is a very excellent international stage. Absolutely, our work conforms to the requirements of the competition. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? BX: How to design logo for well known brands ,how to broaden horizon and open mind. FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? BX: Hope to know more excellent designers via this competition.
