FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
MC: 4 months

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
MC: I decided to pursuit an inspiration and was pretty difficult initially.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
MC: My design was produced by myself, I don't know, it depends I will evaluate the various proposals.

MC: I don't have a particular target customer, I think all the people that like it and want it, the material(durmast) and the process are not too expensive. This is great because means that this product can be sell to a wide range of people.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
MC: I think that this design is unique, that's why I'm here.

MC: Was inspired by the rune itself, Dagaz mean sunrise, rebirth, light, renovation, transformation and cyclicity. It's a great meanings for a bed? I think that suits perfectly, but only time will give us response.

MC: i think the simplicity and the unique aspect itself, this design it's built to last, is not a product built with the rules of the planned obsolescence. the messages that I want share with the people are: wood is a sustainable material, strong and beautiful. Every tree is unique like humans, with strengths and weaknesses, this is not a "dead" material like plastic or metals, solid wood always "live" and give a great feelings to our senses . This is a concept that always amazed me.

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
MC: I worked alone on Autocad at the entire project , and for the realization i worked in collaboration with a carpenter.

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
MC: The technology was used to invent the design and test the 3d object on Autocad, and then was used a cnc machine to produce the bed.
