Interview with Tsvetan Petkov at Wednesday 20th of April 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? TP: The nature is my main inspiration. Keep it clean and simple is my principle and my idea as well. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? TP: I wanted to achieve beauty in simplicity. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? TP: To gain more popularity and to be a milestone in my work. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? TP: About a month FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? TP: I just felt an inner need to create this particular piece of work. I was inspired, as it is with every other project i develop. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? TP: No, I`ll produce it myself for now. If I recieve a good offer I'll sell it. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? TP: I have already answered FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? TP: I do not think that there are similar or resembling concepts FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? TP: It came from the sharp shape of my product and also it applies directly to the customers mood FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? TP: 3D programs and a hand sketch FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? TP: The fact that the design does not struggle with the functionality FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? TP: With no one, I did it on my own FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? TP: I have years experience in the field of interior and product design FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? TP: My patience was the main challenge. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? TP: I had no particular goal by entering this competition. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? TP: I learned a lot for my colleagues and competitors.
