Interview with Kabarovsky at Friday 26th of February 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? KK: The design of the jewelery collection "Diamond Jeans" used elements of denim clothes: zipper, strap, buckles, rivets, buttons, belts. That is, it is the jewelry that are appropriate to the style of jeans. For people who prefer jeans style for life, but want to supplement it with interesting jewelry that will be in harmony, not discord with the usual jeans FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? KK: To create a truly harmonious jewelry for jeans dress code, we wanted to make jewelry that will look like denim. It took us a lot of effort and experimentation, to choose the hot enamel, which will create such an image. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? KK: Work on the development of new and interesting designs. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? KK: Since the inception of the idea to the presentation of "Diamond Jeans" in the jewelry exhibition was exactly 9 months. It's like having a baby :)). FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? KK: The idea to create jewelry in the style of jeans, came to us after a visit to an Italian factory, which produces denim clothes. It employs very nice people, we really liked the atmosphere of this enterprise. Just five minutes after parting with them, the idea suddenly lit up our a companion. Her name is Nina Glushakova. It is thanks to her "Diamond Jeans" is now there. It is not an artist and designer. She just inspired creative person. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? KK: We are producing "Diamond Jeans" on their own. Now we legalize an international patent for the ownership of the right of the collection. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? KK: Nothing but our desires and creative thirst. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? KK: Of course! Jeanswear! FS: Who is the target customer for his design? KK: All those people in the world who love jeans style and jewelry! People who understand what to wear diamond solitaire with jeans incorrectly, but who is wearing jeans and wants to look decent. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? KK: Of course hot enamel colors and textures of denim! It makes our enamel collection is different from any other jewelry. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? KK: It is easy and simple to come up with the name of the collection. All that we see - this proximity jeans and diamonds. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? KK: Initially, our artists painted many different sketches. Our team chose the best. Then the case took 3-D fashion. They created 3D models based on sketches. Next jewelers made silver master model. And with them the production of jewelry collection was started. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? KK: Using images of clothing elements in the jewelery design. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? KK: All work on the creation of this collection was carried out exceptionally by specialists of our manufacturing. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? KK: The role of modern technologies in the creation of jewelry can not be overemphasized. All models are created with the use of 3D graphics and 3D printer. But it is also a great role belongs to the ancient technique of laying hot glass enamel. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? KK: It took us a lot of experimentation and practice to find and select the glass powder for the manufacture of enamel, which would be the most visually looked like the color and texture of denim. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? KK: The most difficult part was to prove to ourselves that the collection of this level of complexity can be run in mass production. At the same time preserving the quality and level of work fulfillment at all stages of production. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? KK: We have received your offer on our email address. We immediately decided to participate because we believe in the originality and the pleasantness of our jewelry. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? KK: We have learned not to be afraid to translate into tangible jewelery the most daring and innovative ideas and thoughts. After create this collection we want to implement only a conceptual collection and became not interested in working on mere ordinary jewelery. FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? KK: Will continued in this collection? - Yes, we have already released several sets of silver during denim themes and call this supplement "Silver Denim".
