Interview with Raynon Chiu at Thursday 21st of April 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? RC: The whole space design, the flexibility of usage on material, light, shadow, as well as space aura, all of which strongly demonstrated the zen style and a sense of serenity。 FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? RC: The perfect integration with the usage of light and shadow. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? RC: 15days FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? RC: Because it could help people release their pressure and get the tranquility. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? RC: It's used by another company FS: What made you design this particular type of work? RC: The client's need. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? RC: N/A FS: Who is the target customer for his design? RC: People who want to live there. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? RC: It's very simple and clean , without much decoration. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? RC: It's named by the Goverment. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? RC: Sketch CAD FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? RC: The polished and decent landscaping is extremely brilliant. It’s showed through a mature and quiet way. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? RC: N/A FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? RC: We don't use too much complicated technology and take advantage of the Architecture itself as the decoration. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? RC: N/A FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? RC: N/A
