Interview with Shu Zong at Sunday 10th of April 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? SZ: The design shows people who are living in the concrete jungle with their souls having many different levels. Some of them are sharp and some of them are soft. These souls blend together to become the form of flying wings. During the manufacture I used polishing and sandblasting techniques to present deferent layers of the metal. With the zircon inlaid into the metal it completes the balance of a spectacular surface. This divides the jewelry into three brightness levels. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? SZ: This process took about 4 months in total. It includes a lot of iteration with the craftsmen. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? SZ: hand drawing
