Interview with Asst. Prof. Ömer Kamber at Monday 25th of April 2016

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
ÃK: The main principle of our design is living in a healtier home.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
ÃK: we wanted to achieve a machine that makes the jobs of 6 separate machines.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
ÃK: we will improve this awarde design.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
ÃK: It took about six month to design this particular concept.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
ÃK: This design was commissioned.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
ÃK: Our design is being produced.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
ÃK: Suffering of people, especially children because of asthma make us design this particular type of work.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
ÃK: Housewifes

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
ÃK: It is more stylish and functional according to other similar ones. For example in our device there are remote control and negative ionizer.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
ÃK: Our design has two name. One of them is Cleanmax SPLUS for domestic usage and other one roboclean SPLUS is for export. In cleanmax we emphasize on the maximum cleaning in the home and in roboclean we emphasize on the cleaning robot.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
ÃK: There are no touch control, remote control and negative ionizer function in other similar designs.

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
ÃK: All the our customers collaborated with us for design. We listened to their requests and have revealed such a good design.

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
ÃK: The role of technology is one the most important part of this particular design. For example touch screen control panel.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
ÃK: For example we made research od negative ions in scientifiec magazines and we decided to add this feature to our design.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
ÃK: we thought that our design must be awarded because it is a very good design. And also we know that A Design Award Competition is one of the most important international competition in the world.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
ÃK: I learned that we can bring the air in forest in the nature to your home. We feel good in forest or nature because there are too much negative ions in the forest air.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
ÃK: I want to thank you for making such a prestigious and good competition.
