Interview with Taras Zheltyshev at Sunday 26th of April 2015 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? TZ: The idea was to create an ideal luminaire that can be adapted to the individual and his needs FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? TZ: I wanted to reach the variety of forms and possibilities of this product, availability and attractiveness FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? TZ: Used in the development of this product, announcing the investors and other designers to collaborate FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? TZ: Not long, because the work consists of modules, it is possible to make a couple of weeks FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? TZ: This work is a flight of imagination and challenge myself FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? TZ: I plan if there is an opportunity to sell the rights to manufacture, because a large amount of this design will prove very positive FS: What made you design this particular type of work? TZ: The desire to go and continue the philosophy that design changes not only around us but also within man himself FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? TZ: this is my mother, she always inspires me and moves forward FS: Who is the target customer for his design? TZ: мой дизайн подойдет для всех FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? TZ: Projects characterized by the ability to adapt to the needs and desires of the user FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? TZ: This means diversity and fluidity, form the foundation construction FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? TZ: Many books, sketches, computer graphics FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? TZ: I think the idea and mechanism joints in light design FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? TZ: I do not have worked alone FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? TZ: the fundamental role of modern technology LED lighting and casting duralumin FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? TZ: Yes, I spent a variety of studies on materials science, and forming FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? TZ: There was only one problem, and the difficulty to show all the features of this lamp, because "many people, so many opinions" - this applies to use design FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? TZ: I participated last year and realized that I will actively participate in such activities, it has a positive effect as a stimulus for the competition and the opportunity to express themselves FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? TZ: I learned a multifaceted work and combine different knowledge a variety of information FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? TZ: All questions reveal the attitude of the inventor to design, all is well
