Interview with Mahdi Mahdavi,Babak Ahangar Azizi at Sunday 13th of April 2014 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? MM: creating a physical – visual quality considering the air pollution and visual pollution present in Tehran; - background placement of the project and its proximity to Tehran’s Azadi Tower; - It’s being influenced by the elements present in Iranian architecture; and - Administrative-business nature of the complex and its being influenced by barcode as a feature of a International trade. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? MM: creating a physical – visual quality considering the air pollution and visual pollution present in Tehran FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? MM: Just continuing my design work FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? MM: 2 months Approximately FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? MM: We personally were looking for these concepts FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? MM: The proposal is to build. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? MM: Their previous experiences and expectations and project status. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? MM: The environment and building a relationship with the audience. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? MM: The main role.
