Interview with SEREL Ceramic Factory at Tuesday 15th of April 2014 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? SU: 4life Wall Hung WC Pan takes its place in bathroom with its solid form and functional usage as new image of characteristic dominance. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? SU: While the design of toilet seat set which started out with the concept of“Maximum cleanliness”impresses its user with its exciting thin form,it also creates a difference with its functional solutions developed in respect of more hygiene and health. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? SU: This design takes approximately 6 months. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? SU: Serel 4life WC Pan is designed by SEREL DESIGN TEAM under the Serel Sanitory Brand. So that Serel Sanitory Factory produce the product and don't sell or lease the production rights. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? SU: Serel 4life WC Pan is designed by Serel Design Team. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? SU: High end and immediate segment is the target customer. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? SU: Serel Design Team used cg technologies and CNC machine for prototyping. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? SU: Serel Design Team consist of two Industrial Designers, one Mechanical Designer, one Sculptor and one Ceramic Specialist. So that skills of Serel Design Team are proficient for forming the washbasin.
