Interview with wiz crenology at Monday 14th of April 2014 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? ON: main inspiration is from the client's company motto, " innovation, speed, cooperation, passion" FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? ON: keep the balance in between China and international FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? ON: actually, no plan at the moment, but try to show others what we have been done in china, especially in Hunan, as it is the place that is very meaningful for Chinese people.( chairman moa born place) FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? ON: first idea is fast, but take lots of time to develop FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? ON: Actually , we need to meet the client's thinking, ( a lot of chinese philosophy is within), then we break it down and reconstruct in a new identity. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? ON: no FS: What made you design this particular type of work? ON: ........... FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? ON: a lot...... FS: Who is the target customer for his design? ON: company, enterprise, institute FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? ON: Hard to say, but it is our own feeling on particular clients...... so i could have different idea on different client, so there design is more unique. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? ON: client's name FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? ON: pencil FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? ON: ............... FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? ON: yes, mainly technical people FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? ON: to support my idea FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? ON: i couldn't say is influenced by data, but influenced by people, culture and history. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? ON: mainly is the balance of the culture different FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? ON: try to let more people know what we have been done FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? ON: understand more about culture and human FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? ON: no
