FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
DM: To designe architecture that correspond with the environment .
FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
DM: Architecture that is in a bounding relation with nature.To create a design that serve, and curve the space, in and around the object .
FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
DM: To find the investor that recognize my main principle, idea and inspiration for this and every of my design object.
FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
DM: Nine months.
FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
DM: Inspired by natural environment.The designe was in same time, commissione and inspiration.
FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
DM: This is my design, and right now no one has a any permission to sell, lease or promote the production rights except me in person . My mission as a designer is of course is to make this bird alive, as a building that has been designed to be in space ,not just in the memory of any computer or at the promotional internet site. So if it will be a moment in time in future to make this bird alive we could talk about it.
FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
DM: The question about the meaning of life in generally, and the crane bird as a simbol of longevity.
FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
DM: Frank Lloyd Wright, Oscar Niemeyer and Santiago Calatrava ,Constantin Brancusi...
FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
DM: Ministry of culture of any country in the world, but also the hotels owners and the companies of a various type of business , that find this building as a possible place for work and enjoy.
FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
DM: Simplicite and combination of minimalistic and organic design.
FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
DM: A bird found outside its species’ usual range.
FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
DM: Autocad, 3d max, Corel draw , Adobe Photoshop ....
FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
DM: The fact that the visitors could came inside of a Crane (bird).
FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
DM: Im looking forward to work in team, but this particular design project was designed only by myself.
FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
DM: A great one.
FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
DM: Reaserch about crane birds life.
FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
DM: The time is in relation with the quality of the model.
FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
DM: I was searching through the internet for information about the best organized international design competition with intentions to "land" my Crane bird building there ,and then I find https://www.adesignaward.com
FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
DM: The creation still exist in a process of modeling, despite that the model came as a computer designe.
FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
DM: This unique designe could easily be transformed into the hotel ,or into the corporate building .The measure of the building also could be different, if the landscape, or investor ask for a different one .At the river terrace in Taipei, the size of building was adequate with the possibilities of the location, museum standards and needs that was formulated in competition documentation.
