Interview with Giorgio Caporaso at Tuesday 29th of April 2014 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? GC: From the beginning, the strongest inspiration came from the versatility of a simple module. This idea was very fascinating for me. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? GC: To be honest, my objective was to create a longlasting interior design system which could be reliable, versatile and nice as a friend. So I thought about a system able to follow our changing life. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? GC: More_Light is a sort of work in progress. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? GC: I developed my own idea of a piece of furniture suited to dynamic contemporary life. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? GC: More_Light is produced by LESSMORE brand FS: Who is the target customer for his design? GC: Those who become fond of his own objects but also want to express their personality. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? GC: More_Light is not only an example of essential design. In fact it is also assemblable, disassemblable, transformable, customizable, repairable, eco-friendly and easy to use. Thanks to its features it can be longlasting and very useful. It could become a good friend of us. Isn't it? FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? GC: The production process of More_Light requires a simple technology with a low environmental impact. Its production aims also at energy and materials saving. Recycled, natural and eco-friendly materials of latest-generation are also used.
