FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
SN: Increasing the wellbeing of the User while collaborating with reduced environmental impact.
FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
SN: It was develop a product that can bring real changes for the lifestyle of the users, with the main focus on beauty, functionality and sustainability .
FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
SN: Introduce this design in the international Market.
FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
SN: The main challenge was to develop a sustainable product, which bring increased well being of people. I had decide to pursuit na inspiration.
FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
SN: No, it is not being produced by another company. I intent to myself this design.
FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
SN: The international design and fashion decoration market, hotel , spas and clinics market.
FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
SN: The fact of being conductive and made from an environmental liability
FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
SN: Conductear - I made a wordplay, combining the word conductive with "tear" that means loom in portuguese.
FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
SN: The raw material. Its main element is the conductive wire, wich is produced from an environmental liability, arising from the process of making biodiesel. Its major feature is to be conductor of energy thereby it is possible to discharge the static energy of the users, eliminating several problems caused by the accumulation of this energy: stress, insomnia, chronic fatigue, muscle aches, shock and damage to electronic components.
FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
SN: I worked with two chemicalspecialized, Carla Fonseca and Silmara Neves and a Orb weaver Rachel Fullin
FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
SN: Data were collected through the internet and consultation directly with doctors specialized about scientific research performed on the harmful effects of static electricity on people.
FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
SN: During the creation process, we seek the best way to use the wire, maintaining its characteristic conductive and presenting a final product with beauty and functionality.
FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
SN: Because this design, Conductive Loom, brings a great innovation for the textile area, uniting art, technology innovation and sustainability.
