Interview with Sam Seveine at Saturday 23rd of February 2013 FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? SS: By designing this work, my focus was to create a piece, looks like an art more than a jewelry. A piece very artistis but still wearable and fashionable, and a piece that completly change any simple outfit into a more personnal and trendy one. Also by designing this work, i focused on the fact that it could be worn by a large "age group "of women.By wearing those i wanted that all women feel more confidence and assurance. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? SS: This design,is a very trendy and original piece, but still very commercial , and wearable by a large "age group" of woman. My plan for this design is to implant them in art gallerys as "work of art" , but mainly implant them into the special design shops which can receive production. Finally my plan for this design is to made him a "must have" into any women closet. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? SS: For the first one, i thought first that i wanted create a piece with leather , so cutted the leather then step by step i achieved , then after the first piece is done you see clearer how to do so it goes faster. It took , 8 to 12 hours to design it, depends on the piece. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? SS: I decide to pursuit an inspiration, a desire. i wanted to create a very trendy, fashionable, that can be a "must have" in any women closet. This piece is an accessory which can be seen as a "signature of style". FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? SS: My company is my name, all the products are designing and creating by myself, and used by my company name. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? SS: I have been an apparels designer during 5years, where i surprise myself loving handmade work, customising, embroidering. What i like in accessories, is that you don"t have any boundaries, you can create anything you want with your own technique that brings more freedom and creativity. So it was clear for when i launched my line, to create pieces between clothes, jewlery and art. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? SS: The target customer for this design, is a woman who wants to affirm themself, by no fear to unleash her personnality and temper, a woman who have natural confidence and who loves to see herself as unique. The age groupe for this design is very large: 25 to 40years old
