Interview with Athanasia Leivaditou at Sunday 23rd of October 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? AL: This raincoat is a combination of a rain coat, an umbrella and waterproof trousers. Depending on the weather conditions and the amount of rain it can be adjusted to different levels of protection. His unique feature is that it combines raincoat and umbrella in one item. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? AL: Ergonomic function of the "umbrella/hood". FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? AL: Two months. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? AL: It was a personal need to have more physical freedom during rainy days. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? AL: Anybody. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? AL: The full face protection that the raincoats do not offer.
