FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
PD: The main principle behind Poptical's eyewear design is portability. The inspiration came from the need for compact, durable, and high-performance sunglasses that could easily be stowed away when not in use. Popticals feature a unique design that allows the frames to compact down to a small, portable size, making them perfect for active individuals who require eyewear that can keep up with their adventures.
FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
PD: The target customer for Popticals sunglasses design is typically someone who leads an active lifestyle and enjoys outdoor activities such as golfing, running, hiking, and water sports. Popticals are designed to be durable, lightweight, and easy to carry, making them ideal for people who are always on the go. The innovative design of Popticals sunglasses, which can be compacted to a small size, also appeals to travelers and adventure seekers who value convenience and portability.
FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
PD: Overall, Popticals' unique combination of innovative folding technology, high-quality materials, and specialized lens tints sets us apart in the market, providing users with both convenience and enhanced functionality.
FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
PD: The most unique aspect of Popticals' design is the innovative use of compact, portable, and durable construction in high-performance eyewear. This is exemplified by the patented FL2 Micro-Rail System, which allows the sunglasses to compactly fold down and fit into a small, protective case that can be easily stored and transported. This design not only ensures convenience and portability but also maintains the structural integrity and optical quality of the sunglasses. Additionally, Popticals incorporates high-quality materials such as lenses crafted by Carl Zeiss Vision, known for their superior clarity and durability. The lenses feature tints specifically designed to enhance visual perception for activities like golfing, which reduces visual fatigue and improves performance.
