FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
RA: Hiding the mechanism with an elegant silhuette

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
RA: I wanted to give a feminine touch to the workspace

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
RA: Developing more pieces in its family

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
RA: The entire process took around 1 year

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
RA: I was commissioned to design a series of office chairs and this one was the most particular piece

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
RA: My design is produced by my client Rapido

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
RA: I was tired of seeing the same typology of chairs in the offices all the time

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
RA: This piece was inspired by the tuxedo - the iconic black tie event outfit

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
RA: Contemporary style offices

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
RA: The unexpected detail on the back that hides the mechanisms and connection details of the chair

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
RA: It comes from the Tuxedo dress and shorty called Tux

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
RA: 3D Modeling - Rendering - Prototyping

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
RA: The back and the seat comes as two different pieces. The seat turns over the back and gives extra lumber support

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
RA: I worked with a highly skill factory of the client

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
RA: Injection molding

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
RA: Ergonomic criterias

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
RA: Working with injection molding forces the designer to be extremely precise. I improved both modeling and ergonomic analysis skills.
