Interview with Ghazaleh Abbasian at Monday 20th of May 2024 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? GA: Rather than considering a chair as a static product with a single function, I intended to take a different approach. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? GA: A primary focus of my presentation was to introduce a product as a chair where the user has a major role in determining how to utilize the product in accordance with the desired function. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? GA: It is my belief that this product will have a bright future. Consequently, I am interested in mass producing it with the cooperation of professionals in the industry and selling it as it has the potential to be used in various scenarios. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? GA: Approximately one month. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? GA: This was an inspiring experience that I wanted to share with other professionals. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? GA: It has not been produced. According to the circumstances, I will consider how to produce it. However, I intend to sell it on a large scale in the future. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? GA: A different way of thinking about objects. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? GA: In order to design the procedures, I used a variety of software tools, including Autocad, 3d Max and Vray.
