Interview with Mihael Varbanov at Sunday 15th of May 2022 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? MV: The idea of the design is to stimulate positive emotions in patients when they visit the dental clinic. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? MV: The focus is on geometric shapes and the use of the latest technologies in the interior. We have achieved the goal of creating a modern and innovative space. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? MV: The future plans are for the project to become a reality and to be realized. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? MV: The whole work of our team is expressed in 2 months of hard work. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? MV: We designed this space with the clear goal of improving the working conditions of our client and predisposing his patients to a better experience. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? MV: Our design is special and only for our client - dental clinic S Dent. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? MV: The mass negative attitude of people towards dental services. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? MV: Тhe design is entirely developed under the inspiration of our team. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? MV: The design is aimed at all dental professionals and patients. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? MV: The synchronicity between shapes, decors and proportions is unique and captivating. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? MV: The name of the design came from the name of the dental blade who are our clients. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? MV: Due to the complexity and complexity of the project, we used a variety of techniques and tools for creation. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? MV: One of the most unique aspects of design is the combination of the latest technology with furniture and interior FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? MV: In developing the design, we worked with dental professionals to get an idea of the working ones FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? MV: The role of the latest technologies in this project is very large. They are laid out everywhere in a way that only helps the overall design. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? MV: At the beginning of the design we made a detailed study of existing modern dental clinics, their pros and cons and much more. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? MV: It was a challenge to find a place for everything, because the rooms are not big. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? MV: When we presented it to our client, he replied that it was such a good design that he would win a design competition. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? MV: We have all learned that dentistry is a very responsible job and creating the perfect work environment is a big challenge. FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? MV: It was a real pleasure for me and my whole team to design this design.
