Interview with Te-Sian Shih at Wednesday 9th of November 2022 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? TS: It's the enthusiasm of the masters and the flow of music that makes the music sound like in the ocean and feel comfortable. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? TS: Enthusiastic and comfortable music from the masters and all participants. I want to make the brand image an elegant, high-quality concert FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? TS: Customers ask me to put this visual in their 2023's music activity poster but edit some parts. This award-winning design has been published in Art Shopping Louvre Carrousel du Louvre, Paris 2022. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? TS: Many days. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? TS: Because of the contrast between passion and gentle music like the ocean Enthusiasm infuses activities but makes listeners happy and broad. It was commissioned by Taipei Music Academy and Festival in SanFrancisco. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? TS: My Design work didn't use by another company, and it has won DNA Paris Design Awards and Muse Design Awards. Besides, it has been published in Art Shopping Louvre Carrousel du Louvre, Paris 2022. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? TS: Consumers ask me to do the abstract design project. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? TS: No. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? TS: Taipei Music Academy and Festival in SanFrancisco FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? TS: I drew all the lines with my imagination. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? TS: All orange lines combine together to be a Phoenix image in an abstract way. other blue lines to be the background to present the music wave and make audiences feel like in the ocean. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? TS: Illustrator software FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? TS: To use lines to create abstract phoenix images and waves. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? TS: I did it by myself. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? TS: To create all the images and the whole picture by lines I drew. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? TS: No. I didn't research any reference webs or places. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? TS: To create elements from zero to be a whole image. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? TS: I hope can help consumers to promote their activity. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? TS: I have learned new skills when I have free time. FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? TS: No
