Continue Interior DesignContinue Interior DesignContinue Interior Design is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies harmonious integration between living spaces and natural surroundings. Located in New Taipei City, Taiwan, this 115.7-square-meter dwelling represents a thoughtful approach to creating a serene retirement sanctuary. The design, conceived and executed by Shu-Fen Wu in 2020, emphasizes environmental consciousness through its extensive use of eco-friendly materials, including recycled stone wall cladding, environmentally sustainable gypsum bricks, and recycled wood-plastic composites. The project's distinctive characteristic lies in its innovative spatial arrangement, which minimizes the use of traditional walls to maximize views of the surrounding mountainous landscape. This design philosophy creates an expansive, flowing interior environment where backless shelving units serve both functional and aesthetic purposes, contributing to the space's visual continuity. The project successfully balances casual comfort with elegant sophistication, particularly in its public areas, which received special attention due to the homeowners' specific requirements. The design incorporates sliding doors as flexible space dividers, enabling adaptable privacy solutions while maintaining the overall open concept. Recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, this project demonstrates excellence in sustainable design practices, spatial optimization, and contextual sensitivity. The design's implementation period, spanning from December 2019 to May 2020, resulted in a living environment that effectively bridges interior comfort with exterior natural beauty, creating a harmonious setting for its residents' retirement years.
