Zhongang Future City LandscapeZhongang Future City LandscapeZhongang Future City Landscape is an innovative architectural landscape project completed in January 2020, encompassing 7,984 square meters in Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province, China, situated between the Tiantai and Siming Mountains. This distinguished landscape design, which earned an Iron A' Design Award in the Landscape Planning and Garden Design category, masterfully integrates natural elements with urban aesthetics, featuring a unique coastal setting surrounded by water on three sides. The design's conceptual framework draws inspiration from maritime elements, incorporating dynamic wave patterns and a prominent whale sculpture that serves as a focal point. The landscape employs a sophisticated material palette including jazz-like white tiles, white wood-grain tiles, sesame gray granite, blue mosaic, and white painted aluminum, creating a harmonious blend of textures and surfaces. The project's architectural composition is strategically divided into distinct experiential zones - encountering the sea, watching fish, seeing island, shoal, and watching drama - each offering visitors unique vantage points and interactions with the environment. The design's front area showcases an innovative waterscape with polygonal coastal forms and floating green islands, while the rear section features an art gallery set among open forests and grasslands. This thoughtful arrangement creates a seamless transition between built and natural environments, demonstrating exceptional attention to spatial planning and environmental integration. The project's implementation successfully overcame budgetary constraints through intelligent material selection and precise modular planning, resulting in a cost-effective yet aesthetically sophisticated solution that exemplifies contemporary landscape architecture principles.
